Vehicle Tire Recycling
End-of-life tires
- The Municipality of Sifnos participates in an end-of-life tire recycling program for municipal vehicles.
- Individuals who change their vehicle tires in Sifnos can hand over the old ones to the workshop performing the change or to a workshop of their choice.
By participating, we ensure the following:
- Tires are recycled with minimal environmental footprint.
- We avoid burdening landfills and other spaces with the pollution caused by the decomposition of car tires in nature (and thus the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the food we consume).
- We support the circular economy, contributing to the creation of an economy that respects the environment and human health.
